Hi, I’m Ben Beck - podcaster, panel moderator, film critic, and lifelong pop culture aficionado. If it’s on a screen, in a script, or lighting up a fan’s eyes at a convention, there’s a good chance I’ve been talking about it, reviewing it, or moderating a panel with the people who helped create it.

For over a decade, I’ve been using my voice (and occasionally my face) to bridge the gap between creators and audiences. What started as a passion project behind a mic evolved into a multifaceted career where I now host multiple podcasts, critique films and television for press outlets, and serve as a trusted moderator at some of the largest pop culture conventions in the U.S.

🎤 The Podcaster

Podcasting is my home base; the place where creativity, curiosity, and conversation collide. Over the years, I’ve built and hosted a range of podcasts that celebrate storytelling in all its forms. From countdowns and franchise retrospectives to one-on-one interviews with actors, showrunners, and fellow creatives, my shows are rooted in thoughtful conversation and genuine enthusiasm. I aim to create the kind of podcast episodes that feel like sitting down with a friend who knows way too much about movies and can’t wait to tell you why you should love them too.

🎭 The Panel Moderator

On stage, my goal is simple: make the conversation memorable, for the guests and for every fan in the audience. As a veteran panel moderator for conventions like Fan Expo, New York Comic Con, and Rhode Island Comic Con, I’ve had the honor of sharing the stage with a wide range of incredible guests including Michael J. Fox, Giancarlo Esposito, Anson Mount, Sean Astin, Alan Tudyk, Anthony Michael Hall, and many more.

Whether I’m moderating a conversation with a TV icon, a breakout star, or an ensemble cast reunion, I treat every panel as a chance to inform, entertain, and connect creating moments that fans remember long after the lights dim.

🎬 The Film & TV Critic

As a critic, I believe in honest, passionate, and accessible reviews. I’ve worked with studios like Warner Bros., Apple, and others to provide advanced coverage of upcoming releases, both through written and video content. I pride myself on offering insightful commentary without ever losing the voice of the fan; because I am one. Whether it’s a blockbuster aiming for box office gold or a small indie hoping to find its audience, every film deserves a fair, thoughtful look.

And yes, I still stay through the credits. Every time.
